In 2010 we, your hosts, still had a few prejudices about the Harz – and our very first visit to Schierke, one December in a wonderful snowy landscape, proved us wrong. We visited Goslar, Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, the Brocken and the Wurmberg and were won over by the landscape and the many ways to spend the day.
Schierke and the Harz offer a wealth of attractions for young and old and for every taste. In spring and summer hiking trails start right outside the door, in autumn the wooded slopes recall an Indian summer, and in winter the mountains are romantically covered in snow.
